Cherise Barrie is an independent Director and Chair of the Aurora Capital Board, appointed in 2021. She brings a depth of knowledge and experience spanning over 20 years in the financial services industry.

Cherise has held senior leadership positions for several major financial organisations, including Head of Business planning and Strategy at ANZ, director at KPMG, and Chief Financial Officer of Westpac, Sovereign and Heartland bank, well as other subsidiary companies.

Cherise is enthusiastic about KiwiSaver investments that appeal to people’s values, as this can encourage kiwis to be more involved with planning and achieving their financial goals, while also helping to make a difference to the climate issues our planet faces.

Simon Rolland co-founded Aurora Capital in 2021. His breadth of experience in financial services spans insurance, investment advising, funds management, venture capital and private equity. Simon is also the founder of Aurora Financial, a financial advice business dedicated to helping New Zealand families with tailored financial advice.

Simon is inspired to lead the business in innovative, ethical, and sustainable pathways. He dares to believe that we can be the generation that solves climate change and is thrilled that Aurora KiwiSaver investments can be used as a vehicle to leave a legacy that is both personal and for the greater good of society and the planet.

Sean Henaghan co-founded Aurora Capital in 2021.  Sean has more than 30 years of investment experience and industry leadership in asset consulting and funds management, in roles spanning markets in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific, London, Australia and New Zealand.

Sean previously led a substantial investment business which managed over AU$100b across multi-asset strategies and appointed over 100 investment managers across all asset classes. As an asset consultant, Sean provided strategic consulting advice to some of the world's largest pension funds.

Sean believes that when we invest to make the world a better place, we can create a better future for people and the planet.

Ian is the General Manager at Aurora Capital. With a career spanning over 30 years, he brings a breadth of experience in banking, wealth management, and consulting, both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

During his 12 years in the United Kingdom, Ian led operations teams at Morgan Stanley, and consulted to businesses in investment banking and funds management, with Accenture Consulting.

Returning to New Zealand, he worked for HSBC where he managed high net worth clients and helped to launch HSBC's Premier Banking services in New Zealand. Ian initially worked with Aurora CEO, Simon Rolland, over 10 years ago and has again joined forces with Simon, helping Kiwi's to use their Aurora KiwiSaver to build their financial wealth.

As a parent of two children, he shares the concerns that many of us have about the planet and our children's future. Ian is thrilled to bring his leadership to helping Kiwis meet their financial goals through their Aurora KiwiSaver investments while doing good for the planet.

George is the Operations Lead at Aurora Capital. George started his career in financial services in 2015 at Aurora Financial, Aurora Capital's sister company as a financial adviser, moving through various Marketing, Operations and Compliance roles. 

George brings a wealth of knowledge to Aurora Capital and like the rest of the Aurora team, George shares the belief that KiwiSaver investments can be used as a force for good. 

Suzanne is the Marketing and Communications lead at Aurora Capital. She brings over 25 years of experience in investment management, across a diversity of roles spanning investments, marketing, relationship management, communications, and content.

Previously, Suzanne was an investment specialist for several investment managers, including AMP Capital (Australia) and BT Funds Management (Australia). Also at AMP Capital, Suzanne was a Senior Investment Editor. Much earlier, Suzanne worked as an economist and a fixed income dealer.

Suzanne believes that positive change is always possible, and that through investing, we can play a part in improving the health of the planet.

Federica is the Client Support Manager at Aurora Capital, she helps our members deal with all things KiwiSaver.

She arrived in New Zealand with her family in 2015 from Italy in search of a beautiful and inspiring country where to raise her family.

The bachelor degree in Languages and Literatures led to different outcomes in the work industry, her last job in Italy was Product manager for a medical multinational company.

Focused on being a mother of three from when her first son was born, she has returned to work once arrived in Aotearoa and since then worked in Administration and Customer Service.

The love for people, different cultures and the planet makes Federica feel good about going to work, on her electric bike, every day!

Blair is the Adviser Team Leader, he brings a wealth of experience in sales and insurance advising to the table. With a strong track record in leading successful teams, Blair's focus is on providing expert guidance and support to our clients, helping them to achieve their financial goals and secure their future. With a deep understanding of the KiwiSaver market, Blair is dedicated to helping our clients make informed decisions and navigate the complex world of investments. Blair leads by example and strives to create a culture of excellence within our team, ensuring that we are always providing the highest level of service to our clients.

Thomas is a an investment analyst at Aurora Capital, where he assists with all aspects of Aurora Capital asset management.

Prior to starting his professional career with Aurora Financial, Thomas studied at the University of Canterbury, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), before pursuing a Master of Financial Management. Thomas is working towards his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Having worked for a number of years as a financial adviser for Aurora Financial and Aurora Capital, he brings experience in dealing with what our clients' needs and goals are. This serves as a feedback loop, ensuring that investment decisions are made with our clients' needs in mind.

Marquise is a Financial Adviser and KiwiSaver specialist for Aurora Capital. Marquise brings extensive knowledge around supporting families into the right investment options that aligns with their goals whilst taking their ethics into consideration. Marquise believes everyone is different with their goals, beliefs, ethics and values around KiwiSaver investment and loves to incorporate that into his advice process.

Marquise has helped over 500+ families with KiwiSaver advice, and has helped them make the right decisions to get the most out of their KiwiSaver investments. Striving on building relationships and great outcomes is a key attribute to his work.

Kuldeep was born in India and moved to New Zealand back in 2017 and decided to make Aotearoa his home. Having studied Finance and Mathematics both at school and university, Kuldeep found a great passion for KiwiSaver industry and wanted to be able to pass on his knowledge. Helping people to start designing the life they want through creating financial freedom while creating long-lasting relationships.

Daniel is also working towards his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and enjoys learning more about investments and economics.
