Unlock a government boost for your KiwiSaver account

Have you secured your boost?

At Aurora Capital, we are dedicated to helping our members maximize the benefits of their KiwiSaver accounts. We want to ensure that you take full advantage of the government contribution available to you. By making a small adjustment to your minimum contribution, you can unlock a valuable boost from the government. Read on to discover how you can make the most of this opportunity.

Maximise your benefits

Every year, KiwiSaver scheme members have the chance to receive a government contribution of 50 cents for every dollar they contribute, up to a maximum of $521.43. To enjoy the full benefit, it is important to contribute a minimum of $1042.86 by the end of the financial year, 30th June.

Unlock a 'free' boost

Think of the government contribution as a 'free' boost to your KiwiSaver account balance. By meeting the minimum contribution requirements, you can significantly enhance your savings and set yourself up for a more secure financial future.

Check if you have contributed enough

If you are not sure if you have contributed enough to get the full government contribution, you can log on to your myIR portal (https://myir.ird.govt.nz/) to check what contributions you have made so far this year. Note, you will only be able to see the contributions made as an employer or employee, you will not necessarily be able to see all voluntary contributions.

Act now! Deadline: 20th June 2024

You still have time to take advantage of the government contribution. Making voluntary contributions to your KiwiSaver account is an excellent long-term wealth-building strategy. Don't miss out on this opportunity to grow your savings. We recommend make your contribution by 20 June, to ensure that it is processed before the cut-off date.

It's easy to make a contribution

There are a range of ways to make voluntary contributions:

  1. Bank Transfer: You can make a one-off payment via bank transfer. The account details are available in your Aurora KiwiSaver portal. Simply click on the 'Make Contribution' button for further instructions.
  2. Online Banking Platform: Most online banking platforms provide an option to deposit funds into your KiwiSaver account, often through a 'pay tax' or 'pay Inland Revenue' section.
  3. myIR Portal: You can easily make a credit or debit card payment through your myIR portal online.

Have questions? If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Adviser or our Client Care Team. You can contact us via email at hello@aurora.co.nz or by phone at 0800 242 023.

Important Reminder

Please note that you may not receive the full government contribution if you meet any of the following criteria:

  • You turn 18 part-way through the year.
  • You join part-way through the year.
  • You no longer meet the eligibility criteria.

In such cases, the government contribution is calculated based on the number of days you have met the eligibility criteria during the year.

By taking action and increasing your minimum contribution, you can unlock a valuable boost to your KiwiSaver account courtesy of the government. Don't miss out on this opportunity to grow your wealth and secure a better financial future. Act now and make the most of your KiwiSaver benefits!
