Aurora Capital, one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing KiwiSaver Schemes, has announced the appointment of Stefan Smith as Senior Multi-Asset Investment Analyst to its investment team, as it continues to expand and deliver strong outcomes for members.
The appointment comes as Aurora Capital surpasses $400 million in funds under management and nears 15,000 members. A milestone that reflects both the company’s rapid growth and increasing demand for personalised, adviser-led investment solutions.
Stefan Smith brings over 15 years of international investment experience to the role. He has held various positions at globally recognised financial institutions including J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank, as well as boutique fund managers and large institutional asset managers. His career has taken him across London, New York, and Amsterdam, where he honed his expertise in multi-asset portfolio management, fund-of-fund strategies, and active asset allocation.
A CFA charterholder, Stefan holds dual Master’s degrees in Financial Econometrics and Economics & Business from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, where he also completed a Bachelor of Econometrics.
